Snatch it up... MadDog doesn't make anything, they just re-badge other people's products (this one might be a Lite-On or Samsung, for example).

I bought a Maddog DVD/CD-RW combo from Microcenter last month for $60 Retail + $30 (Mail in rebate), and it SUCKS!!!
It simply wouldn't read any of my CD-Rs or DVD-Rs; it could only read DVD Movies and things like the Windows XP CD.
Avoid it.

eh... I hate mail-in rebates... That price isn't that great, then again no surprise from CompUSSR. As stated above, you're certainly not going to have much trouble finding better prices elsewhere. I was only speaking for the fact that Mad Dog doesn't make anything of their own. They just re-badge various other manufacturers' products.
Same NEC burner above, but with free 2-day air shipping. :) NEC's rock, by the way. I've seen numerous people rave about how good they are.
