Opinions on LCD-TV's

I'm going to be moving out of a studio into a townhouse. I wanted to upgrade my monitor to a larger size and not have to purchase an additonal tv for my bedroom. I was looking at the Apple 20" and then came across the Philips 19" LCD-TV. I thought it may offer the best in TV quality screening and work as a decent monitor.

Computer wise I do general internet browsing, typing, basic web design, minimal graphic design, and other tasks. In the evenings, I'd utilize the monitor for watching tv or pre-recorded programs. Any suggestions.

I assume any LCD-TV would probably be rather limited in its resolutions. I can't find the 19" models on the Philips website, but the 17" ones only do 1024x768 (or 1280x768 if widescreen). I'm not sure if the 19" ones do 1280x1024, or if they would be the same resolution.

I imagine CRTs would be better for television, but since TV resolution is pretty low, the differences would be minor.
