Opinions on Dell Inspiron 5100 and 5150 model laptops?

I've had a 5150 with the p4 2.66 for about 6 weeks. No problems with overheating whatsoever. I play Q3 on it mostly, but the UT 2004 and Far Cry Demos both play fine on it, and I only have the 32 meg 5200. Good lappy for the $$ IMO.

Ouch, that article says you have to air out the vent WEEKLY, FOREVER...

Actually my brother has had it for over a year... no problems for him yet....

I heard about this problem in *some* cases though... so just thought i ll let him know..

Yep, if you can live with the weight, then they are good laptops.

I have a 5150 with 15" 1600x1200 display, P4M 3.2 w/HT, 32mb 5200 ,512mb RAM and 60gb HDD, it is an awesome laptop, BUT, quite heavy!
