opinions on current averatec notebooks?

how are these? I am looking for a cheap, light notebook.

I have the averatec 3225 and it suits my needs pretty well. I just wanted a cheap, light notebook for browsing the web, watching movies, and other simple things. A few things to watch out far though are the finish and the keyboard on these models. Some users have had trouble with noisy/loose keyboards and the finish is pretty easy to scratch.

very decent machines with good looks and decent performance... not to mention easy on the carrier

just got one, does everything i need it to do and its light which is my primary concern after returning a compaq x1000 which one also nice. only complaint i have is the 2.5 hour batter life compared to the x1000's 4.5. but gonna buy another battery
