yep - I used to have one and was promoted twice during that period. I then felt like shaving it off and was promoted again. It didn't matter either way.

Mind you... it was very short and well-kept.

Ew face-pubes.

Most tards seem to think growing a beard means letting your facial hair grow out of control. It looks damn nasty when you have face-pubes growing out of control too far below your jawline. Keep it trimmed dudes.

Or else you'll end up looking like EyeMWing

See? No facial hair except on his neck = Michael Moore, JUST DONT DO IT.

I kept it about 1" wide all the way from my sideburns, right above my jawline, and then it met with my goatee. It was very short (1/4" or less).

full beard,or whatever u can grow.

They seem to be pretty well accepted here. My goatee varies from 1" to 3.5" throughout the year.
goatees are very very very acceptable :D
My wife would agree with you ... ;)

yep. I keep a goatee most of the time and work in IT in a corporation. very occationally I shave it, but it gives me the appearance of actually having a chin :)

i was an engineer and never shaved my face or neck smooth. always used a beard trimmmer. neither my company nor ford seemed to care.

after i quit that job, i attended an interview with chrysler without shaving for a few days. i got an offer, but turned them down.

so, no, in most cases, i dont think it matters. as long as you are good at what you do.

Doesn't Larry Ellison ("Mr. Oracle") have a beard? That settles it for CEOs (i.e. yeeeah it's OK).

As somebody said - if you are an engineer or in IT - it doesnt matter.
Any other place where you have to interact with people in a savvy environment - it does matter.
Note: This does not apply if you do anythign related to IT - which excludes 99% of the peopkle on this board.
