I am looking to upgrade a little from my x800pro and get a TV tuner. I was going to get seperate cards, but the AIW x1900 seems so cheap right now for what you get. (~$180-$200)

Does anyone have any experience with these cards? I am not a huge gamer, but I'll still play a little UT2004 or HL2. I would like to be able to play Oblivion, but I just want it playable not maxed out or anything. I do have a Dell 2405fp monitor, so I run at pretty high resolutions.

I read that the entire AIW line is being phased out, which may be why they are so cheap, but as long as it works, I don't care. Since the TV wonder cards will be around a while, I figure they will continue to develop the software. I am aware that the AIW uses the older TV200 chip instead of the 550. Is that going to seriously kill my ability to capture video?

Here are my system specs for anyone who made it this far and can offer some sage advice...

Dell Dimension 9200 (single PCIe slot)
Intel E6600 Core2Duo
Seagate 250gb hard drive
ATI x800Pro PCIe card (256mb)
Sigmatel 7.1 sound
Dell 2405fp monitor

TIA!

AIW cards are great, but ATI's software blows chunks.

I've played with X1900 AIW and it is pretty decent. TV quality isn't as good (IMHO) as previous AIW's and it certainly isn't the 3D beast the other X1900 cards are, but it isn't shabby.

UT2004 and HL2 are nothing, it'll chew them up pretty easily.
