Buying this card today (sadly the GHz edition is out of stock) to go with my non K 4770, any opinions on build quality and/or performance? I'm aiming for solid 1920x1200 60FPS gameplay, even with MSAA (excluding Crysis 3).

Go read some reviews.

It appears that gigabyte is not binning the chips and have a high failure rate with their OC and GHz cards.

I would go for something else unless you want to tinker with moded bios and sort of things. But if you want a stable card out of the box I think you might be better served by a non OC or GHz card from gigabyte.

Picked up the GHz edition today. Gave Borderlands 2 a spin for 2hrs, no issues. Dead silent. That game can still gut your FPS with PhysX turned up - drops down to 40 from a smooth 60FPS. Most impressed compared to the 280X I had. It is indeed cooler and much quieter.

From what I've seen this is a great card. I've seen various OC'ed benchmarks here and there and it has a lot of potential and tons of OC headroom / scaling - I will add while I haven't used this card directly, I have used the 760 WF and the cooler was very very silent. I was pretty impressed. Is it the best OC'ing card on the planet? I don't know. Most silent? I'm not sure if it is the most silent (probably not, that honor goes to the MSI gamer if memory serves) but really, there are tons of good custom cards on the NV side and you really can't go wrong with any of them. You're basically at the nitpick level to differentiate between the various custom cards in terms of quiet levels and OC'ing. Although I will say, if you're hellbent on overvolting the classified is the clear winner if you don't mind the slight price premium. Aside from that, I think the WF3 gigabyte card looks nice and I think the cooler is very good.

I've had 4 different Gigabyte OC cards (275, 580, 670 and my current 770) that I have used and I never had a problem with them, they run great and are quiet.

BF4, GW2, L4D2, FF14, and a multitude of others and several hours at a time. Doesn't go above 82c.

Good to hear.

I had a Ti that would not stop crashing (Ghz edition). Go read the reviews on newegg, quite a few people that have bad cards.

Only way to make it somewhat stable was to downclock it.

The one I had was also very quiet, highest temp I saw was 75.

I have this card and I am quite happy with the performance. I use it with MSI Afterburner on a custom fan profile, and the fans run cool and quiet. I can overclock the core to around 1070 (+50 over the factory 1020) before I see artifacts in 3Dmark.

The only issue I have with the card is the annoying coil whine. I game with a headset on so the problem is not as bad, but I can still hear it during quiet moments within games. If I did not have a headset then it will definitely drive me crazy. Kinda sucks for such an expensive card to have this kind of problem. My Sapphire Radeon 7870 didn't have any coil whine at all.

If it weren't for the coil whine then I'll rate this card a 9/10.
