Opinions Needed: Cheap Dining Set

I am currently living in a small apartment, and on an even smaller budget.

I have no dining table.

I am getting sick (6 months) of eating off my coffee table.

So far I have kept a pretty MODERN approach to mu furntirue. I have items from West Elm, Ikea, and Bauhaus.

I have my eye on some really nice, expensive, dining sets. Unfortunately I cannot afford them right now.

So......

What do y'all think about This Set from IKEA ?

I figure I could paint , stain, and/or dress up the table to be a little less boring.

But other than that...???

Seriously, go garage saling. This time of year there's dozens of garage sales every weekend.
 
go to a flea market or auction and get some that you can do yourself for cheap....mix up your theme some...IKEA IKEA IKEA

I feel you on the "Mix it up" thing...but seriously, I live in Memphis, TN. Most of the Garage Sale furniture is pretty darn country looking.

I've checked some of the garage sales this month, and come up with nothing.

I guess I am just starting to get impatient.

Thats what I was thinking too.

If I cannot score something cool this weekend at my local garage sales, I am gonna buy it.
