Opinions?? Are winter tires worth it in the Mid Atlantic states

I am in the DC Metro area and am considering getting snow tires for the coming winter as it seems that we may actually get a real winter this year. Any opinions on whether snow tires are worth it for this region. I have some Toyo Premium Touring tires on my 98 rt4wd CR-V right now and am not sure if the winter tires would make that much of a difference.

Also, does anyone have any recommendations for winter tires?

if you were in upstate NY i'd say yeah, down where you are i'd say no

I woudln't bother. Hell you can even do with all seasons in canada if you're lucky!

How cold is it usually where you will be driving it?

Did you say 4WD CR-V?? Nah, I definately wouldn't worry about it... They'll close the roads before you'll be able to drive in enough snow to need snow tires.

I just got four new Control T/A's for my S10. I figured that $350 on some good skins was cheaper than body work.
The Control's have very good snow/rain ratings!
