Opinion: What's a better deal 8800 GTX for $400 or 8800 GTS 640MB ACS for $300?

I've got the opportunity to pickup either of these cards from local sellers. The GTX is still in wrapping but the driver cd/manual is missing. The GTS has been used for 3 weeks (receipt will be provided) but includes everything.

I'm planning on getting a 2407 and running a rig at 1920x1280. I'd like it to be future proof for the upcoming titles (crysis, etc.). If not, I guess I can sell either and get the new refreshes.

The GTX for $400 is a sweet deal, especially for a 2407. Running at that resolution, even the GTS OC will feel some pains with all settings on.

Make sure you can handle the power requirements for the GTX and that it will fit in your case. If so, then that is a great deal and I would jump on it.

No it's just not a common card. It's an OC'ed version that's probably not worth it's price premium all things considered.

Just buy a GTS anyways and overclock it yourself if you can find a stock one. They overclock faster than a 8800 GTX or pick up the GTX and hope it's not a dud.

depends, what resolution are you playing at? if its 1920X1200 or larger then get the gtx, else gts

8800GTX for $400 since its a $130 discount.

OR, you can sell the 8800GTX for $450+ and this way your 8800GTS will cost roughly $250 or less.
