So I have my air cooled system stable at 4.675ghz with a CPU strap of 125 and a mild bclk boost. Temps are higher but nothing terrible. Stock Intel cooler and it works just fine in Prime torture. Part of that is good case design.

Anyway, this is a healthy boost at 29% but I'm not sure it's worth potential oddball instability issues or the increased noise. This is a gaming rig so that's more reason to downplay the benefit.

What do you all think?

If its stable why not just run with it?Also you may want to be running in IDE mode other wise you could end up getting data corruption on harddrives. What are your temps like? Cpu,VRM,NB and SB?If they are under control when under load then you should be fine.

While the temps are okay - about 70c max CPU, the rest are 35-40c - it takes more fan action to accomplish that. I suppose I can just enable/disable the OC as needed. In the summer it's probably not a problem because the AC vent blows right in front of the case and I'm pretty sure you could cool tasty beverages with it. I need to stress test more to see if it really truly is stable.

Eh, I guess I'll run with it for a while. It is free after all.
