I've been running XP for 15+ months and am a diehard tweaker but I never got around to using Bootvis until a few weeks ago. XP has always booted so much faster than any other OS that I never got around to trying to tweak it, other than making sure that Prefetching was enabled.
Anyway, I tried Bootvis for the first time a few weeks ago. Ran it first to benchmark and did a screencap of the results. Ran the optimizing and did a screeny of those results too. I also timed my boot (from full OFF to fully loaded desktop with no hourglass next to the mouse pointer). I did multiple passes and averaged them. Average boot time pre-Bootvis was 47 seconds. After Bootvis optimization it was 38 seconds. Not too bad. When I compared the pre- and post- screenshots you could notice all the areas where Bootvis had speeded up driver loading. It ws pretty cool.
So, long story short, I'm a satisfied customer!
