Opinion on a diamond bracelet?

Hey all,

I'm considering bidding on this bracelet for a Valentines gift HERE

And I was just wondering if this a decent deal for this weight and clarity.

Thanks in advance.

1) Buying jewelry on ebay is, at least to me, an extremely risky proposition.

2) If it appraised at $12,795, and the auction is NR, again, it seems like an extremely risky proposition.

3) It looks like 22 separate clusters of diamonds, with 10 diamonds per cluster, which means you're looking at 0.01 carats per diamond. There is no way on earth that any gemological institute worth its salt (GIA, for example) is ever going to certify a 0.01 carat diamond as anything. You might as well just buy a similar bracelet in paveed diamonds--cheaper and looks just as nice at that size.

CLIFFS: Don't buy it.

many thanks for the advice.. maybe i'll just go with a pendant with a couple diamonds in it..

Don't get me wrong, the bracelet looks nice. Maybe check around with some jewelers in your area, or look at more reputable online dealers like bluenile or something?

well i'm not mainly looking at it from the risky side.. seller has over 1000 feedback.. an 866 number and other things that dont raise any flags for me..

my main thing is about the appraisal price being so high and bid being pretty low..

i mainly picked this one out because the clarity was rated a lot higher then most of what you see on ebay..

i'll look around more though
