Opinion needed re: 2D image quality (long)

My wife's comp is a Tyan Trinity 400 (Via Apollo Pro 133A chipset), P3-667, with V3-3k vid card. She does little gaming so most of her work is 2D. Like most of us, I have an extra mobo combo -Shuttle AV40 (Via P4X266 chipset), P4-1.5 Willamet, DDR, a Visiontek GF2-GTS, and a Radeon LE.

My question is......... Would 2D image quality be better on her current setup, with the P4-GTS setup, or with the P4/LE setup?

Thanks for your opinions!

I'd have to say the LE. I have an 8500, and the 2d image quality is much better than a GTS. The LE also has the benefit of better driver support than the V3, so that alone should make it a better choice.

My RadeonLE and my V3-2k card were very close to each other, though I'd give a slight nod to the V3. Both kick the snot out of my GF2ti though.

The Voodoo3's have been known, at least during their time, for their superb signal quality, which translates to good image quality. This isn't "2D image quality", but just image quality in general. However, many generations have past since then, and while they may have been better than the TNT, original GeForce256 and even the GF2 GTS, I'm not sure if they are still top notch. I know I'm using mine on a Nokia 445XPro 21" monitor running at 1600x1200@80Hz and its fine. It probably reaches or exceeds my monitor's limits, since my monitor only has a 270-280MHz bandwidth.

Performance wise however, the Radeon LE should be at least as good for 2D, and noticably better at 3D. Driver support should also be better since the Voodoo3's driver development has ceased, and the only Win2K/XP drivers are only in beta form, although the Win2K beta drivers work flawlessly for me.
