Hi,
This is my first post :) and i hope that someone can help me.

I want to build a gaming pc and this is my first time but before buying the components, I would like to know/hear your opinion on this build, if i need to change some of the parts?
Do i need anything else (like cpu air/water cooling or thermal paste)?
How long will it last, if i want to play on high settings?

Or should i buy cheaper components and exchange the parts more often? (would that be better price wise)

Looks good.. As long as you're not overclocking the stock heat sink & fan should be fine.

With that build i'd probably just go with a GTX 970 4GB video card and save yourself quite a bit of money.

Everything else looks good and like Burpo said, as long as you aren't overclocking, the stock heatsink should be fine.

I would (as someone previously said) switch the 980 to a 970.
You didn't specify which resolution you'll be playing at, but I'm guessing 1920x1080?

The i5 + 970 will smash 60 FPS in all (*) titles at high settings 1080p :)

And if you find a cheaper Power supply unit, you will 100% be fine with 500W-700W. And will all your games + OS + other programs fit on the 250GB SSD?
May want to get a cheap 1TB or 2TB HDD as well? :)

my suggestion would be to buy a better power supply, although this would be sufficient by wattage, but considering you are buying a high end system, you should buy a more reliable power supply like corsair ax series or tx series or some other psu.

CX series is just a builder series, mainly manufactured for entry level or mid level systems.
