If the Democrats take the house, the repubs cannot ignore these subpoenas as they have. Cummings will have the "authority to pursue all the answers to his questions."

"To date, the committee’s Republicans have blocked 52 attempts by Democrats to force votes on subpoena motions. Without the power of the majority, Democrats have been relegated to spectator status as the Republican majority abdicates its oversight responsibilities to protect Trump. "

When house rebubs were in charge and Obama was president:

"Former Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), for whom I worked, issued more than 100 subpoenas to the Obama administration. To date, Gowdy has issued a grand total of zero subpoenas to the Trump administration. "

All these guys are doing now are just circling the cheeto and protecting him.

Shit's going to get real after Nov.

Remember to vote Nov 2018

Trump is one problem. The circus that is congress is the other one and has been for a long time. It's all a dog and pony show and I don't care what side of the aisle one happens to be on, the wool is pulled over our eyes at every turn. Personally, I don't trust any of them and do not believe they work for our interests; they only spew rhetoric to make us think they do and they have the media to help us believe they care about us.
As for the subject of your link, well don't color me too surprised. As far as circling the cheeto, all the scum circles and protects each other, in the upper levels of government. It's not new. We tolerate it, for some reason. Get rid of the notion that politicians are innocent, except #theotherside

Hard to say what will happen, if Trump's base sense's he's in real danger it might cause a record turnout to try and protect him. Or enough crap will come out over the next 8 weeks to make more people turn their backs o the GOP.

One can only hope that the right things transpire irrespective of what your political affiliations are.

There are institutional-level problems, and the Democrats aren't immune, but let's not equivocate here -- Trump and the current batch of Republicans are particularly vile, and Elijah Cummings appears to be a stand-up guy who's genuinely interested in advancing good causes.

And I agree with that headline... the scariest thing ing the world to Trump is a black person demanding justice and accountability.

**I also heard Maxine Waters (you guys know her that whacky dressing Senator) will have the right to inspect Trumps taxes. I think she'll be the finance head or something like that.

If she can and does exercise that right, I can see the headlines... "Trump becomes first fugitive President in US history." He's clearly been desperate to hide his taxes, either because they outline shady behavior or because they would prove that he's not nearly as rich as he wants you to think he is.

You don't trust republicans because you have a gut instinct. You don't trust dems because they're the other team.

I can’t remember the exact details but she’ll head an office that can summon any persons or business tax return from the IRS

Just turn out and crush them. They only win when we don't turn out.

Both, without doubt.
