Operton compatability

Just checking here, if a motherboard is compatible with the X2 dual core CPUs it will also be compatible with a dual core Opteron right?

Check with the mobo manufacturer, specifically the model of mobo you have. Should be supported though.

Cool thanks I am 95% sure it will be one of these two ASUS A8N-E or the ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe

I really don't think I am going to need the SLI but the 8 phase power supply is very tempting.
