Unbelievable the battles these folks go through, some are 6-8 months behind and act shocked and angry that the bank is actually taking the collateral back!.

I've repossessed entire villages for my clients. The villagers reacted similarly; they were confused as to why we were there taking their village away from them. Then we explained the situation to them with a hail of bullets. They stopped complaining. In fact, they never complained about anything ever again.

I dvr'd the show a few times and would skip over the "disclaimer" unknowingly.

It's still entertaining at times, but it falls into the same class as wrestling now.

So I read this on Wiki and it seems this is fake so what makes it different than every other reality show out there???

If you watch several in a row, you can actually see the eyebrows on that one "thing" move farther up her forehead every time.

If you read the Wiki, it's all reenacted from real repo's and some parts like most of the fighting is fake.

Operation Repo is a faux reality show on truTV, where a fictional repossession team from the San Fernando Valley in California re-enact the repossession of vehicles for finance companies, due to the owners' failure to keep up their car payments.

Some of the actions shown violate the Collateral Recovery Act of the State of California and are only for dramatic purposes. Repossession agents are prohibited from breaching the peace (ie: fighting and wresting with debtors). However, some of the actors on the team were repossession agents in real life.

Although as a channel, truTV is described as presenting "Reality TV", Operation Repo consists of scripted reenactments where the team is often confronted by actors portraying debtors with prop weapons, prop drugs, and naked women; and with actors portraying police officers with prop weapons and prop squad cars.

Count me in for someone that fell for it.

After I saw the episode where they camera guy was in the BMW and it flipped over b/c the roided out guy wouldn't slow b/c he had to take a dump... I knew something was up.

Then I saw the one where they were trying to repo a car where people were naked. I knew it was fake and somehow always started watching the show after it began b/c I was channel surfing in the bedroom.

And that thing with the fake eyebrow freaks me out.

I was watching a rerun last night where someone started shooting and I felt REALLY BAD for the cameramen.

And then I find out it's re-enacted. :(

I didn't know it was fake but had sneaking suspicion considering how bad the acting is. I also couldn't bring myself to sit through an entire episode mostly due to that "thing" that everyone keeps mentioning.
