F-16, B1 Bombers, U2's, etc getting green light to deploy into Persian Gulf region....more than 100 planes total. Planes include bombers and attackers, among many others.

Here we go!

Alright, the breaking news is over.

Looks like the exact region in the Persian Gulf is classified. Other planes included are refueling planes, which would be vital if needed to go from a Carrier based in the Persian Gulf.

For those of you who are confused, Infinite Justice is the name of the Operation ;)

It's not the "official" name, just the name the Pentagon is using for it. The White House has to approve it yet.

Anyway, the breaking news is back on again. There's 2 aircraft carriers in the region already, a third on it's way. That's 150 planes right there, PLUS the additional 100 being sent in by the Pentagon. Sure hope bin Laden has some vasoline cause he's about to get it hard.

I guess we don't have any ATers at the Pentagon...surely they would have used one of the suggestions from the "name the retaliation operation" thread.

My vote is still with "Operation B*tch-Smack" :D

Whatever happened to "Operation Noble Eagle" ???

I think it should be called "Operation Desert Glass" because Afghanistan will be bombed so much that the sand will be turned to glass.

I think "operation justice" is better for "official" name, since Afgan is already glass.

Its gonna be a multirole fighter with internal bays for munition for added stealth! I am not sure whether its suppose to have vectoring nozzles for added moneuveablilty (sp?)

So 3 aircraft carriers (each with around 75 planes) plus the 100 that are going...

How long does it take for the planes to get there anyways?

F-22 is Schweet,

My fav's are still A-10 (Gotta LOVE that gun :) ) the F-14 and the B-1 3 planes that have proven themselves BIGTIME

The F-22 isn't slated for deploylment until 2006, but that doesn't rule out some lucky pilot getting to do some "testing" in the coming months in one of the prototypes.
