Operating System For Gaming : XP Home Edition SP2 or XP Pro SP2

I'm going to be using this PC mostly for gaming. Is there a performance difference between Microsoft XP Home Edition w sp2 vs. Microsoft XP Professional w sp2.

In a word

NO

As far a gaming is concerned (unless you run a lan party server off XP or something like that) there is zero difference between home and pro Xp SP2

xp pro is only for multi processors or power networking users. pro dosnent speed up your game.
