OPERA: why does "Unread" show all my mail?

Hey opera fans, I'm LOVING opera, but there's one problem I can't figure out:

The "Unread" view in the mail app shows ALL my mail, inlcuding stuff I have read and even stuff I've replied to. What's going on?
 
yeah but why can't it make my messages "read" automatically after I read them, or at least after I've replied to them?
