I used to use opera when I was on 486DX-66 before. I see no need to use opera ever since I got myself this new computer half year ago.

I started using Opera 6.0 today, and I'm most impressed and pleased with it. It's very similar to Mozilla, yet it's more.. mature, if you get me :)

BTW, I find it quite convenient that the mouse-gestures in Mozilla and Opera are very similar.

Even though IE complies less to the W3C standards than Opera, most sites look better with IE. I develop web sites and don't follow the W3C standards because almost everybody who views the pages uses IE...IE is a bit more forgiving, unlike that POS Mozilla which won't render a table if a single tag is wrong.

:disgust:

yeah, that's a REALLY good reason to use IE. a sh!tty program that accepts sh!tty coding.

You got it wrong. Not Mozilla is a POS, but you are, 'nuff said :)

Standards are there to be followed. If you don't follow them, only yourself can be blamed for the consequences.

Shame on you! :)

But I guess I understand because IE has difficulties displaying W3C compliant web pages.

<< What does Opera do better than MSIE 6? >>

-Mouse gestures
-kill popups
-very lightweight browser
-almost fully W3C compliant
-supports just about any standard in existance
-it's rockstable
-almost no bugs have been reported with any recent version of Opera

Need I to continue?

Damn straight! The more i use opera, the more i love it. Now just to get rid of that damn add. oh well...

I don't understand why everyone complains about microsoft, but then won't except high quality 3rd party apps.
both browsers are great though.

Mouse gestures: making certain gestures with the mouse in order to perform a certain action, like reload (up/down), new window (down), back (left), forward (right) etc.

I notice that I attempt to use mouse-gestures with applications which do not support it. I guess I'm just getting used to it :)

What do you mean? It works perfectly fine for me. Well except the place where you type your messages. It doesn't extend all the way across the screen. But i don't care. I haven't notice anything else that it doesn't work with.

It's displaying things just fine, except for the space between the PM and Poll icons at the upper left side of the page, but that's not even worth it to be called a 'problem'.

I wouldn't consider it a problem either. It's more like a slight annoyance.

EDIT: Are the boxes under the navigation thingamajig missing?
