A few days ago, Opera began starting up abnormally slowly and consuming about 210 MB memory after startup.
It takes a good 30 seconds to start, the memory usage slowly rises and the CPU load is at ~50%.
After that, I have no problems at all, memory usage goes back to normal, etc.
My second problem is that I must close Opera in the process manager, or it won't shut down
.
What could cause this slowdown at start?
I've tried installing the newest version (I had 7.54 before), but it didn't help. I thought that the memory cache might be the culprit, but it isn't. I can turn off memory caching but the problem persists.
Opera used to initialize in a matter of seconds...
Other browsers (Firefox, IE) don't have this problem.
I've swept my system with Ad-aware+NAV+SpySweeper+Spybot, so I don't think that it's a trojan/malware I'm dealing with here.
Does anyone have an idea what my problem might be? Have you encountered this problem before?
