It won't let me put toolbar items on the same bar as the menus. I can't live without that extra 0.3" of space.

I agree with you, it's not your fault and the search does suck.

On a side note, though, I tried using opera with a menu system over at swonline.biz that's known to work with both firefox and IE, and it won't work at all in Opera. This is pretty disappointing.

I've been using Opera since they gave out the free keys. Glad its finally free.
