Opera: Inputfields not responding

I have recently downloaded and installed Opera 7.23... (downloaded it soley for the purpose of testing some websites I am developing.. I personally think it is horrible and even displays somethings that FireFox and IE do well, horrible)

I am getting really fustrated with this software, because I cannot type any text in any input/textarea fields on any websites... what the heck?! Is this just me? Did I set up something wrong? Any ideas?
 
I like opera, it's not GREAT, but integreated stuff is nice. it'll grow on me, although i do have problems in some areas..
 
I have this problem once in a while, but I have no idea why it happens. Doesn't happen very often, though. I have to close the page and reload it to get input fields to work again.
 
Can you give anymore input on your particular system? I assume we're talking about Opera for Windows on Windows XP SP1?
