Opera 7 License for $24 instead of the usual $39

Stumbled upon this when I went to their site to check on any changes to the beta release. Yes I know Firefox is free, but some software is so good it's worth it. Opera is is one such piece of software so please don't thread crap.

Updated with an easier method.

Go to this link:
http://www.opera.com/download/.../std/ow32enen800b1.exe

Once you're there you will see the special offer. It may take a few refreshes for it to show up though.

Tada, $15 off Opera. 😀 Enjoy.

Also their licensing method has been changed. When you purchase Opera you get licenses to the following:

Opera 7 for Windows:
Opera 7 for Linux, Intel:
Opera 7 for FreeBSD:
Opera 7 for Linux, PPC:
Opera 7 for Linux, Sparc:
Opera 7 for Solaris:
Opera 7 for Mac OS X:
Opera 5 for Symbian OS, Psion:
Opera 6 for Mac:
Opera 5.12 for OS/2:
OperaMail Premium:

But the question is how much better Opera is over FireFox/Mozilla to warrant charging $39, and now $24?

i <3 opera... ff is my backup browser.

EDIT: ooh, and you can register Opera for all your home computers with ONE license... all OS' too!

If Opera were free and had no ads, don't tell me you would still prefer FireFox 😉

But that will never happen because people will continue to pay $39 to get rid of the ad, and when you have money rolling in like that, who's crazy enough to stop it.

this isn't working for me... in opera it doesn't give me that page at all, in IE it displays a 404, in firefox it shows the $24 ad, but when i click 'buy' it shows up as $39 in the cart.

Try this link, you may need to refresh a few times before it shows up.

And enough of the FF vs. Opera crap. Paying for Opera is voluntary just like donating to Mozilla/FireFox. They're both free and don't make you purchase either, you can use the free versions and not give either a cent or you can give them some cash to help/support development.
