Opera 7 and memory Usage

OK someone clear this up for me, i just check my task manager and it showed Opera7 was using 50MEGS!!! of memort. WTF why in teh world is it that high. that is rediclious
thats teh same amount photoshop 7 uses!!

is this normal?????? its uses more and more memory the longer i have it open and te more things i open. and even if i close a bunmch of things it still uses teh memory

Oops. Forgot 😉. It started at 28mb for me, moved to 36, then 52...I closed it and opened up Crazybrowser after all that. 🙂

Opera is using only 28 megs on my system.

PS: Explorer.exe is using 17 megs and SVCHOST.exe is using 15 megs.

i diodnt see a billon threds on teh mem usage just on it in general. and mine was using 116 megs earlier

i posted at teh opera forums and changed some settings and its stays under 40 now which i can live with

Only using 17MB here, with explorer.exe at 18MB (on windows XP home). Peak memory usage at 24MB. Been using Opera for a long while now.

Prefs_> History & cashe. unclick "automatic Ram Cashe" n and set your own value. i can actually keep it roound 21megs now and that is more like it.
