'm using it and it's great except for one problem, I can't post to AT with it so I have to use IE

Everything else works just fine though.

I'm tempted to try firefox though so I can stop using IE which I hate with a passion...

No problem posting with Opera 7.51 for me,infact I really like Opera a lot,the billboard site loads fine with no boxes.

t appears to time out with no errors it just sits there whenever I click on reply to thread.

Hmm weird,try clearing your cache.

I've been using it on my laptop (which is limited to 1024x resolution so I wanted tabbed browsing) and increasingly on my main workstation at the office.

Been very pleased with it for the most part. Unfortunately it does have problems rendering one site I have to use almost hourly at the office so it's not my primary browser there. And for some reason, it seems to turn into a bit of a resource hog at times on my office workstation (never have that issue with my much slower laptop.)

opera >= FF = Mozilla > netscape > Ie + Addons (myie2, crazybrowser) > IE

you are ridiculous

whats wrong with that list?

IMO netscape is better then IE, that the only thing i can see changeing
It should be:

Mozilla 1.7 & FF > opera > netscape > IE

Netscape is still too buggy, whereas mozilla 1.7 is stable and very fast. Opera still has page rendering issues.

Mozilla 1.7 renders faster than IE IMHO.

Here's my ranking:
Opera > Mozilla/Firefox > IE > Netscape

Ads and non-free software aside, if you have used Opera for longer than a week, and really set up the preferences, you will understand why Opera is the best overall. There's a lot of customizable stuff and features in Opera that others have copied. Tab browser was on Opera LONG before mozilla.
And Netscape is definately worst then IE.

<---- Long time user from all the way back in the Opera 3.X days

It's true there are some problems with some sites that Opera can't handle, but those are VERY far and few in between.
(no problems posting to AT forums here.)

I`ve to agree, especially for a new user since the amount of options/ tweaking, preferences available with Opera can be intimidating, however stick with it for awhile and you soon learn the "ropes".

Took me awhile to get the preferences the way I like it ,but now there`s no going back to IE,the speed of Opera is just awesome.

Testing again now, I really hate IE so I hope this works then the only reason IE will stay on the PC is for Windows Update

I never noticed that. Thanks!

The only problem I've ever had with Opera is the fact that the AT forums don't indent quotes correctly. Jason fixed it for a few hours, then changed it back later. Everything else renders correctly. Everything else (minus the AT quote indents) is superior to every other browser I've tried.

Including IE and the AMD optimized Firefox .8.

I personally like the "IE6XP Native" skin.

I don't even use IE anymore. Automatic win updates are good 🙂

Well now that's just damn stupid of Fusetalk. I wonder why it does that.

Syringer, I dunno... I haven't experienced that. It sounds disturbing. Maybe it's a memory leak?

Mnementh, why can't you post on AT??

Im guessing that you have it set up to block all pop ups. Set it to block only non-requested ones.
