Opera 5.12: what are the benefits of registering?

Maetryx here,

I'm using Opera 5.12 for Windows right now, and I like it quite a lot. It does two things I don't like, though. One is the banner ads. I understand that these go away if you register the product.

Also, if I shut it down with say 4 windows open, it opens up 4 windows when I restart but all of them are MyOpera Portal instead of where I used to me. Is this a bug, or is this a "feature" that goes away when I register?

I use Opera 5.12 (registered) and it doesn't do that so, maybe...true?

Opera has a feature called "Saved windows"

When you first run opera it'll have those 4 windows open.

If you haven't disabled it, it'll ask you to save your windows when you quit. If you have ONE window open, say to yahoo.com or something and save the window, that page will open up next time.

It's a good feature if you have to quit out of something but don't want to lose all the pages you were at.

You can manually save windows under Window-Save Windows on the menu bar.

I believe registering opera simply gets rid of the ad bar, nothing else.
