hi there,

bought a Seagate Expansion 2TB USB 2.0 External Hard Drive ST320005EXA101-RK - Retail some time ago (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148503).

now i want to take it apart so i can use the hard drive in my pc. unfortunately, i dont see any screws or the like ... anybody know how to take it apart?

tried emailing seagate.com and looking through their knowledgebase but it wasn't very helpful.

I had a freeagent 500GB external that was always giving me issues. Took it apart and just put the internal drive inside my PC and has been almost a yr now with about 350GB full and zero issues.

I couldn't get your link to work but I googled the model # for mine and was able to take it apart. Something like "seagate freeagent model#### removal" and there were posts from another forum with pictures.

its actually a Seagate Expansion 2TB USB 2.0 External Hard Drive ST320005EXA101, not a freeagent ... there's plenty of info to remove the hdd from a freeagent, but not from the expansion :(

even the seagate forums weren't useful ...
