I am running MS Office 2000 Pro and wanting to open some files with the extension of WKS and WPS. I get the pop-up of what program do you want to use to open this file. I tried MS Word and it was garble. Any suggestions?

there should be a special "filters" or something install on one of the office disks

how old are the works files?

Thanks for the response minendo. Her's the deal. I have a floppy with the .wks and .wps files on them. When i tried your suggestion by opening word, file type and works for windows 4.0, I got garble. Any more suggestions?
