Well just got a new pc, and I'm trying to configure everything like I used to have it..and one thing I can't get is opening links in firefox. On the old PC, if I clicked a link with the scroll button it opened it in a new tab..I know I did this by editing something, because I made extra options appear in the options thingy..anyway, I have no idea what I did!And I have no idea where I foud out how to do it, so I figuered I'd post here.

So does anyone know how I can get links to open in a new tab when clicked with the scroll button(right now nothing happens at all)

Thanks.

It is the default behavior. Are you sure you have the proper drivers installed for your mouse? Are you sure the scroll wheel button works for anything at all?

It's a damn mouse setting with certain mice.

Try changing the settings for the middle click till it works again.

MX310 and my the drivers are installed..when I go to change settings (in mouseware) button 3 is set as universal scroll, what should I change it to?..and I know it's not default(maybe for just this mouse) because I know I had to do something to make it that way on the old comp..problem is I don't remember what :p

In Firefox, you go to Tools>Options>Advanced>Tabbed Browsing.

Edit: I guess they've changed it since Mozilla. If that's the case, middle clicking a new tab should be the default.
