opening Excel XP file in Excel 97

I have an excel spreadsheet that I made with office xp (Excel XP)... can I open that same file in Office 97 (Excel 97)...if not what can I do to convert it to open?

There may be an option in the Save As dialogue to make it compatible with older versions.

Should work. I just created an Excel file using Excel 2003. I saved it as a normal Save, then opened it with Excel 97. No problem. However, as the previous post mentioned, you can you Save As and select Excel 97 as the file format for you save it necessary; this amounts to a conversion for an existing file created in Excel XP.

The default save format is Office 95 or something so it should work without any problem.
