Perdo was pretty good. 12Ks in 6 innings. Gave up 3 runs.

Pedro was fine. He pitched 6 innings, struck out 12 and after giving up a 3 run homerun to Adam Dunn in the first he didn't give up another hit.

Braden Looper is a piece of garbage. Adam Dunn is a one dimensional fastball hitter. All he hits is fastballs down the middle of the plate and that retard Looper Pooper gives him just that. Unbelievable.

Looks like the beginning of another fun year with this tragic bullpen.

 
not only did pedro do well (besides 1 mistake)

matsui hits homer
beltran hits a homer and a go ahead RBI (did have a base running mistake though)
floyd hit a homer
piazza did well
reyes did well

wright hit into 2 double plays, but give him some time

and our middle relief did ok.

urbina better be in here by the end of the week
 
Ah yes... even more wonderful news. Kris Benson is out for 3 weeks with a torn pectoral muscle. New Mets?? Same ol' bullsh1t....

in his defense though, wright cracked one out to deep right field too.

yeah i have faith that wright will do well.

and i have never been a big looper fan, but he did well last year...just not the start to the season i wanted...to me looper seems much more like a setup man then a closer.

Give Dunn a little more credit. He's one of the best mistake hitters in the game. The guy mashed 46 HRs last year!

Dunn is a tremendous FASTBALL hitter. You can't get a fastball past him and if you dare try it he will destroy the ball like he did twice today. I would give him some credit and you are correct that it was a HUGE mistake by Looper. Piazza set up OUTSIDE the plate as Dunn swings at bad pitches but Looper threw one right in the middle.

I doubt Dunn would hit 46 homers if he keeps getting curves, sliders..etc. He's the classic fastball hitter.

DAMN LOOPER!! ARRGGGHHHHHH!!! THE NEXT GAME WONT BE UNTIL WEDNESDAY..IT WILL FEEL LIKE AN ETERNITY! ....its way too early in the season to feel like this...
