Opening bottle caps with your teeth ...

I've been opening bottle caps with my teeth since I was 16 ...

Is it really that bad for your teeth? I've never been to a dentist in my life, never had any cavities or any other problems ...

Is that a serious question? I thought it was pretty common sense that biting on anything hard (like metal) could possibly damage your teeth. What next, "Is chewing on a rock bad for your teeth?"

I've done it before. Maybe when I was younger. I never bragged about it to seem cool :cough; :cough; OP.

give me a break... you're cool, we all know ! 😛

Retard. I saw a guy once was stripping wire with his teeth, the big stuff that goes in walls, and broke one right in half. $1000 later I bet he wished he bought a $10 Klien wire stripper.

I never really thought about it ... until now. It's not s'thing that I'd do in polite company, but at times like when I can't be bothered to look for a bottle opener if there's like a Giants game on, my teeth do just fine.

The only reason I'm asking is becuz I'm becoming old, I guess ... and trying to take better care of my body

Unless your teeth are made of steel, I don't suggest doing it.

Most of us even who take care of our teeth will be hard pressed to have them all late in life -- you don't have a chance keep doing that. Teeth were made to last 40 years... humans recently live 80-100.

Edit BTW. you can use any hard long object to open a bottle like a screwdriver, lighter etc.. Grab bottle at neck just wedge object under cap and over thumb and pry up.
