Opening an Online Bank Account...

since local bank accounts pay almost 0 interest, i'm going to open up an online bank account, which offer 4-4.5% interest.

is there a particular online bank you guys suggest? ING, HSBC, etc.
 
OP where do you live, what area?

the reason i ask. i live in NYC. there are a lot of HSBC banks, my checking and savings are with them, I also have an online savings where I can transfer money to and from my other accounts immediately. instead of having to wait, i go onto the web, and move every last penny from my checking into the online savings to bump up my monthly average for more interest. i dont move money back into checking until the day I pay the bills.

 
I have been a member of NetBank for over 2 years and am very happy. Great intrest rates, Customer Support is awesome. There are NetBank ATM's everywhere I live and they have a free deposit system called QuickPost (free overnight delivery via UPS).
