opening a protected folder

so i acidentally dragged someting into this one folder in my C: drive, i dont know what the name of it is, its has a bunch of random numbers and letters, now when i open it to try and drag the files i dragged in there, it wont let me, it says C:/_ _ _____ is not acessible ... Access is denied"

what can i do?

as long as you are an administrator on the computer, you should have access. are you logged in as an administrator?

you can try to use the attrib function attrib -h -s /d ./(foldername) without the () and that might help you if you still can not access with administrator access

what can i do?

Add yourself to the security groups permitted NTFS access to that folder. (Right-click on the folder, go to security tab...)

(I'm assuming this is c:\system volume information or a subfolder? If not, take a close look at exactly what's in there.)
