Opening a port range on ICS XP

Hello. I am currently sharing an ADSL connection between two computers (via a cross-over RJ45 network cable) with Microsoft Windows XP ICS. The connection works perfectly but for a game, I need to open a range of ports on ICS. I know how to open one port at a time, but it seems there is no option for me to open a RANGE of ports. I remember the solution back in Win98 ICS was to edit some configuration files, but this seems to not be the case in WinXP. Is there a solution to this problem or is it a limitation of ICS? Any help will be greatly appreciated because I sure don't want to open 40 ports manually!

I would restrain my self from asking why you are not using a Cable/DSL Router.
