opening a "group of tabs" from one link

i switched from mozilla to firefox, but i really miss the single bookmark that opens many! "bookmark this group of tabs" is the main reason i switched to mozilla from ie, specifically, opening that group with just one shortcut. its gone in firefox! the open folder in tabs thing just doesnt cut it. is there an extension that im not seeing, or does it not exist?

edit: i found that middle clicking a folder will open all its links. however, i've remapped the scroll click to double click, and it doesnt work this way. 🙁 any help?

I believe Tabbed Browser Extension includes it. And a little warning, some people say that TBE slows down or causes instability with FF, but I've never seen any.

Sorry if I don't see why the former is so more convenient.

with mozilla, you can just click that one link, whereas in firefox, you have go into the folder, then to go down and click on 'open all in tabs'. its not much, but its still a feature i like. i dont believe no one's made an extension for it!

Opera has that built in, it's called sessions. Open all the websites you want to save, save the session and name it whatever you like, then open that session anytime. You can even have opera automatically open a specific session everytime you start it.

so does mozilla. and so SHOULD firefox :|

bit of a lead here. if you middle click a folder, it automatically opens all of the links in tabs! however, i have my middle button set to double-click so im out of luck. boooo. any ways around this ya think?

Weird, because w/ TBE, I was able to just middle click on the folder, and it would open all of them in separate tabs...

Not sure if there's an option for that somewhere or what? 😕

Edit: In reply to your edit, what type of mouse are you using? When I had a MS mouse, I was able to set the middle-click to be program specific, so in FF it would be the Default, but in everything else it was Double Click.

I switched to an MX510, and it seems that the Logitech software doesn't have any options for customization like this, but unless there's a different version or something...😕

youre my hero man! 😀 i had no idea you could do program specific functions. its not exactly the same as mozilla, but close enough. awesome.
