BEST COUNTRY EVAR!
Got my tax credit refund. 1200 bucks. going to open an account with an online brokerage. So, which one should I choose? Thinking of using Scottrade as of now due to low minimum ($500) low trade fees ($7) and they have an office locally.
So, is Scottrade good? Or is there something better out there?
Thanks.

ST is great but sometimes they REALLY suck.

Ever since the blackout LAST THURSDAY the website has been down (you cant login to your account).

And....if your into shorting stock...they usually dont have a lot of supply on hand. That means you have to hassle your local broker (someone you will become very familiar with) and pay his fee.

Oh well. You cant have it all.
