OpenHAB - anyone using it?

We're really interested in trying out OpenHAB in an effort to de-cloud much of our home automation and it seems like it's compatible with a lot of things we currently use (Hue, Alexa) as well as some we plan on using (Lutron, Google Home. Mostly, we just like to tinker and want an excuse to have "one hub to rule them all" that is under our control in one seamless dashboard. So far, it looks like OpenHAB is pretty great... Anyone using it? Better alternatives?
