OpenGL missing?

I was recently forced to format my computer, which has 'caused a problem. After getting everything setup again (including my Nvidia TnT2 32MB), I tried playing Quake III Arena. But I received the following error:

GLW_StartOpenGL() - could not load OpenGL subsystem

Anyone know how to remedy this problem? How did OpenGL get screwed up? Is it even installed? Thanks for any help...
