OpenGl error in Game after /reformat

hey all,

My friend just formatted his XP pro install on his system. Reinstalled DX9.0b (a few times now), got the 45.33 nvidia drivers for his ti4400, and re-installed sof2. The game cannot even start due to this error:

GLW_StartOpenGL() - could not load OpenGL subsystem

i think its DX related but not 100% sure.

I'm having him remove sof2, video card drivers, and DX from his system and reinstalling them in this order:

DX --> video card drivers --> sof2.

Any other ideas as to the problem?
