I just recently switched from my old Voodoo3 to a Geforce3 after Chrstmas. On my voodoo I could use the 3dfx utilities to turn up the the brightness for opengl. Now that I have the geforce 3 I no longer have the option to do that. I have the brightness on my monitor all the way up and in the games all the way up and it's still a bit too dark. Is there a program out there that can help me with this problem?

Have you tried doing this... Right click your desktop, click properties, click the settings tab then click advanced, click the Geforce 3 tab then then at the bottom click the additional properties button then there is an overlay control tab where you can adjust the brightness give that a try

Whenver I adjust the general brightness either the way you mention or through another program it gets reset as soon as I run a game. I'm not sure why it does that. I was hoping to find a way to adjust the brightness for different display modes like I had before. It had brightness for desktop, d3d, and opengl. Maybe I am just hoping for too much.

The brightness in the games are all the way up. My monitor is very very dark and I can't afford a new one right now.

I got Powerstrip and had the same problem at first. I would run a game and the brightness would go back to normal. I started testing a few things and figured it out. If I unchecked the box that said "Write Directly to Pallette DAC" it would keep the settings when I started the games. Now I have made settings to run for each game. Thanks a ton for the help, I can now see things :)
