Is there any product that is comparable to VMWare, but is open source?

No, plex86. Bochs is cross-platform and doesn't execute stuff natively. As a result, it is SERIOUSLY slow.

I don't think so. VMware is good stuff. I wish people would use that as a benchmark when comparing systems.

plex86 seems to be a Linux program. Are there any open source version for Windows?
