Open source software for wifi hotspot with WRT54G

I remember finding a linux based package that you could install on your WRT54G wireless router and set up a "paid access wifi hotspot". I am more interested in providing a free hot spot, but with a welcome screen requiring a password.

Does anybody know what I'm talking about and/or remember what software this is?

I've searched and searched, but can't find it anymore. (It's been at least a year since I looked into it)
