Open source or free utility for backing up and flashing any BIOS file on any system? Multiplier and FSB pin mod info?

I've gotta go copy this dude's BIOS when I get out of the shower but I'm unprepared. I don't want to spend all day researching the right utility while I'm in his house (I intend to just make the file and leave). I really don't like this person and I'm only doing this so that he stops complainaing about a mobile Barton and I don't make an enemy.

Also, where can I find pin-mod info for a mobile Barton Athlon XP? I may need to set FSB and multi via the wire trick.

Nothing I know of is generic, go to the motherboard website and download whatever they supply.

Flashing a bios is a dandy way to fubar some motherboards, should seal the deal for ya. (no more iffy friend / enemy stuff).

You're not fubared at all. All you need is another motherboard with the same kind of EEPROM socket and a generic utility (not even that if the BIOS file will work with the motherboard's flash util). I know this because I've come across the utilities before but for the life of me I can't find any info now...

Even without all that, I can go find someone with a stand-alone EEPROM gang flasher.

Thanks though.
