open ports and torrents

Hi all..here is a basic question. I use utorrent on one of my computers to download stuff. As u might be aware the torrent sites require u to have an open port assigned. My question to all is this: will the open port make the rest of the computers on the network visible and accessible to someone on the outside? If so is there a way of isolating the machine from the rest of the network while at the same time not compromising on the connectivity?

Thanks.

Generally your firewall will forward that port only to the IP address specified. So if you are using DHCP and let your lease expire and another computer picks up that IP then that computer will have that port exposed and your torrent box won't.
