Open headphones with some bass...

The Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro 250ohm. I want them, but I'm afraid to take a chance on them because my current DT770's which I've only had about a year already have a driver failure. The right side no longer produces bass frequencies and the left side rattles like a cheap piece of crap. Very surprised at the poor longevity of these and many others have the same issues.
So, any ideas for open cans for competitive gaming while still maintaining some bass? That's what the 990's can do, but how long they do it is what I'm concerned about, lol. Budget around $250-300. Will go a bit higher if I feel its worth the stretch.
I consider these DT770's, at this point in time, to be cheap junk. Never thought I'd say that, but there I just went.

That's considered low impedance which should be fine for most solid state and hybrid amps. An OTL tube amp will have trouble.

I pulled the trigger on a pair of Fidelio X2's. Looking forward to trying them. I was an inch away from buying the HE-400i's, but I'd want to get a proper dac and amp for them and then that's really adding up cost wise, so I went with the X2's which I'm sure will do well enough.
