Opel? Vauxhall?

On top gear they often talk about Vauxhall cars, a name I have never seen before, but I have seen alot of Opel's which is exactly what I'm seeing when they bring up a Vauxhall car.

Vauxhall is owned by Opel. It's just a British division.

Vauxhaull and Opel used to be different brands underneath the GM umbrella, but now they are one in the same, just Vauxhall = UK, Opel = continental europe, because of brand recognition I guess.

I think Holden is the Australian version as well (although I'm sure Dug777 will correct me if I'm wrong 😛)

I saw also some Vauxhall car somewhere around here - it looked just like an Opel in a mirror 😀 (it was right-hand driven)
